Forge Arts - Picture Framing, Art & Wood Sculpture - specialise in frame making, woodcarved furniture and house signs. Established in 2005, we are situated in the picturesque rural Lincolnshire village of Hackthorn, just 6 miles north of the city of Lincoln, and offer superb quality bespoke picture framing and house spectacular organic and mainly abstract work of artists from the surrounding area. We are the main outlet for celebrated local chainsaw carver Mick Burns - his range of Garden Carvings (carved owls being the most popular) can even be mailed to your door.

We are also the main supplier of prints from talented AOTM artist Mike Finney - he now hosts short courses here in lino block cutting and printing - why not come along to the Forge and try making your own prints? Ideal for unique, personalized gifts! See our Art Courses pages for details. The course fee is just £60 (£35 per day) and includes all materials and use of all equipment and tools (just bring an apron!). Please contact us if you would like to attend.

Forge Arts has also acquired an exciting range of work from skilled carver Terry Hooley - his clock sculptures are a must-see! We have also taken delivery of some exquisite new mirrors from Liz Burns - unusual and truly unique mirrors made from choice rounds of remarkably grained wood decorated with Pyrography - see examples of all current artist's work on our Galleries pages.

In addition to work from the above artists, we have some unique jewellery, hand-made cards and one-off books for sale. We offer framing discounts to art students - up to 50% discount for bulk orders! We are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and, being located on the doorstep of RAF Scampton, chances are you'll also catch the Red Arrows giving their own carving demonstration!
